Description
This is the popular general purpose saddle “Cherokee” in a classic, black look. There’s no horse head, no leather conchas, and no leather strings either, so it looks pretty well like a dressage saddle. It is in fact suitable for dressage, endurance riding, just mucking about for fun and jumping over small obstacles. The “Cherokee Classic” does it all!
This general purpose saddle is made from durable, open pore cow hide, which has a dirt repellent surface treatment. It is very pliable and so it adjusts well to the shape of your horse’s back. The underside is made from thick fleece whose colour matches that of the saddle.
This saddle has leather trim, 8 D-rings, leather conchas and leather strings to attach all your stuff. The knee flap is padded, and the knee rolls attach with velcro and so can be positioned as needed. The fibre glass pommel insert (size “medium” is included in the saddle) can be exchanged, as with all Barefoot saddles. The stirrup attachment can also be positioned as needed. The rigging is flexible (we call it “V-rigging”).
