These front saddle bags attach to the pommel in a clever way. They can be used with all of our saddles – including those with a horn. They have four compartments, each with a concealed zip. They offer plenty of room for essentials and they are a practical, light and non-intrusive piece of equipment.
These front saddle bags fit Barefoot saddles perfectly. We have come up with a special saddle attachment which ensures that the bag stays perfectly secure even at faster pace up and down hill. The bag is fastened in the middle with a nylon strap and clip around the pommel insert. (This is not necessary for saddles with a horn.) On the back, two additional nylon straps secure the position both horizontally and vertically. A velcro strap is used to fix it to the front D-ring.
These front saddle bags can also be used with non-Barefoot saddles. They are made from 600D nylon and have a polyurethan coating, which is ideally suited for outdoor use – it is water and dirt repellent. The wight of these bags is only 440 grams. The dimensions of both bags are 30 cm x 18 cm x 13.5 cm.
Please don’t put your phone in a saddle bag. The horse might run away with it. 🙂
